Renewal of Vows
A renewal of vows ceremony can be a time when a husband and wife reaffirm their love, devotion and commitment to each other.
Renewal of vows ceremonies are frequently held on significant anniversaries; e.g., 5th, 10th, 20th, 25th, etc, but can be equally relevant at any time during their married life.
It can be a time when children and grand children share with the couple their reaffirming of their love.
It can also be conducted following a difficult or traumatic time in the lives of the couple that has put a strain on the relationship. This allows them to declare the renewal of their commitment to each other.
A renewal of vows ceremony is not one where the Celebrant acts in any official or legal capacity, but two witnesses are required to also sign the certificate to record the event.
